State Road 156 to Close for Pipe Replacement North of Vevay

According to the The Indiana Department of Transportation, State Road 156 will be closed next Wednesday (MAY 16) north of Vevay in Switzerland County so that state maintenance personnel can replace a drainage pipe located under the roadway.
Motorists are advised to detour around the Ohio River Scenic Byway closure by using State Road 56.
Crews from INDOT’s Aurora Unit are expected to begin excavation operations across S.R. 156 pavement at 8 a.m. Wednesday as long as weather is permitting.

Installation of the new 24-inch pipe measuring 60 feet in length should be completed later that afternoon or early evening.
State Road 156 will be closed  between Tapps Ridge Road and Hunts Creek Road.
