The Indiana Wine Trail ”Spring into the Valley”

Like daffodils reaching for the warm sun, vintners and wine enthusiasts alike ready for lasting warm weather and a return to outdoor fun! It’s time for the 7th annual “Spring into the Valley”, April 16th and 17th! The Trail partners, Ertel Cellars Winery and Restaurant, Lanthier Winery, Madison Vineyards Estate Winery, The Ridge Winery, Stream Cliff Farm Winery and The Thomas Family Winery welcome guests, experienced trailers and first-timers, to come taste their wines, and celebrate the classic combination of breads and cheeses.

All the Indiana Wine Trail Partners will have unique pairings- from sweet to savory, from mellow to spicy and challenging! “It’s truly the start of spring, with the budding of the vineyards, wildflowers and the return of people without winter coats” laughed Sandy Palmer, co-owner of Madison Vineyards & Estate Winery. “Trailers” are encouraged to grab some friends and plan for a weekend-long excursion to Southeastern Indiana! “Seeing the new green leaves and flowers is half the fun!” reported one set of visitors.

Hours for the event are 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Please check each winery’s web site for more detailed information. You can contact all the Wineries, Visitor Bureau partners on the trail, or check in at www.indianawinetrail.com for more details.
