Friday, June 15, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Freethinkers Book Club

Coffee and conversation. Freethinkers from the area will discuss Science Set Free: 10 How to Think, by Alan Jacobs.

Saturday, June 16, 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Live Music in the Twain Room – Tom Schneider, piano

Cincinnati’s Tom Schneider presents his potpourri playlist of American Songbook standards, Broadway show tunes, bossa-nova/Latin, blues, and jazz on our Steinway grand.

Friday, June 22 (Fourth Friday Downtown), 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
Village Lights Poetry Nights

Open sign-up; open mic. Everyone is invited to participate. Read your own work or that of a favorite poet. Readers are welcome to draw from our shelves. MC for Village Lights Poetry Nights is well-known Madison poet, Jill Kelly Koren.

Saturday, June 23, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Live Music – John Sheckler, dulcimer

“Not your granny’s dulcimer.” Local folk musician John Sheckler plays original and traditional songs on a mountain lap dulcimer crafted with his own hands. Sing-alongs for the kids.

Every Saturday, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Saturday Night Stitchers

Stitchers of all stripes are welcome to meet in the Reading Room for a nip and a natter. BYO needles!
