Mrs. Martha C. Burke Boggs
Mrs. Martha C. Burke Boggs, age 94, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on June 30, 1922 in Clark County, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Emmett S. Burke and Mae King Burke. Martha resided most all of her life in Jefferson County and was a graduate of Saluda High School. Martha was united in marriage to Norman William Boggs. This happy union was blessed with two sons, Terry Alan and Ronald. She was a member of the Smyrna Monroe Presbyterian Church and the Smyrna Homemakers. She worked early in life for the Charlestown Ammunition Plant and was a devoted wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed watching "The Golden Girls" with her grandchildren, playing euchre with family and friends. Martha died on Monday, April 17, 2017, at 8:17 a.m. at her home in Madison, Indiana.

Martha will be missed by her loving sons, Terry Alan Boggs of Madison, Indiana, Ronald D. Boggs of Madison, Indiana; her loving grandchildren, Gregor Alan Boggs (Lisa Nichole Darr), Tammara Marie Boggs Byrd (Joe), Deron Andrew Boggs (Samantha), Angie Michelle Imel (Cody); her adoring great grandchildren, Mindel Alan Byrd, Mitchell Joseph Byrd, Lucas Imel, Tatum Imel, and Daeson Boggs; her niece, Jane Watkins; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Emmett S. Burke, her mother, Mae King Burke, her husband , Norman William Boggs, died September 6, 1981, her sisters, Helen Watkins, Ruth Woodward, Velma Commingore, and Jean Thorpe, her brothers, Norbert Burke and Wyatt Burke, and her daughter in law, Barbara Kay Scroggins Boggs, died March 28, 2016.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 20, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., by Pastor Frank McGee at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Bayless Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
