August 2, 2018

For local swimming enthusiasts, the Mild Nightmare on Elm Street is over. Crystal Beach Swimming Pool in Madison, Indiana will re-open tomorrow, Friday, August 3rd, 2018 after being Closed due to Construction on a Lift Station on Vaughn Drive, at the northeast corner of Vaughn and Elm Street.

It was closed on Monday, July 30th because the crane they were using required extra safety and also to avoid having construction during the Ribberfest festival, which happens August 17th and 18th.

After Water Aerobics at 9am, the water stomping ground will be open for business as usual from 12 to 8 pm.

Of recent note, the pool will no longer take checks and is cash only.

Swim now because before you know it, Labor Day will be here, which means waiting until May of 2019 to take a magical shell-shaped swim by the Ohio.
