The Madison Police arrested Mario Johnson-Hollins, a 25-year-old of Madison for felony possession of a firearm, dealing marijuana, possession of marijuana over 30 grams and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
According to the Madison Police Department, On May 5th, Madison Police Sr. Patrolman Dylan Barnes found Johnson-Hollins passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle at the exit of the Speedway gas station, located in the 400 block of Clifty Drive.
Officer Barnes found Johnson-Hollins to be in possession of a handgun, which was located on Hollins’ lap, with his finger on the trigger. Upon the arrival of Sergeant Shawn Scudder, and Patrolman Trent Smith, Johnson-Hollins was eventually taken into custody. The handgun was found to be loaded, and the vehicle was in drive.
Mario Johnson-Hollins was transported to the Jefferson County jail where he awaits his initial court appearance on the above alleged charges. In addition to the marijuana, officers seized U.S currency, and paraphernalia as evidence.
All charges are preliminary, and Johnson-Hollins has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.
