Madison Girls Golf Hits Pay Dirt at Home Against Silver Creek

September 7, 2017

Due to a scheduling conflict, Madison Girl’s Golf was able to play yesterday’s match against Silver Creek at home.

But with good news sometimes comes… more good news as the Cubs won with a score of 190 over the Dragons 250!

According to coach Jake Shockley, “We had a fairly solid outing this evening. Luckily we got to play at home tonight due to a scheduling conflict. Destinee (Sadler) has been coming around for some time now, and it was nice to see her break 50. She’s been working hard to get there.”

Emma Beasley was the top individual scorer with 42 strokes, and even the lowest score for MCHS at 53 was still better than Silver Creek’s top individual score of 61.

“The girls were just consistent tonight, and that’s good to see. In terms of score, there have been few surprises all year, and it’s reassuring to somewhat know what you’re going to get even if you don’t have your best. I think with a little bit more hard work, we’ll be right in the thick of sectionals. We just have to stay focused and make a final push the next week and a half.”

Below are the individual scores for the players:
