Human Bones Found in Wooded Area of Florence, Indiana

June 29, 2018

According to the Indiana State Police, the Switzerland County Sheriff’s Department were conducting a missing person investigation on Monday, June 25th when human remains were found in a wooded area of the vacated residence, located in the 13000 block of Betty Ridge Road in Florence, Indiana.

While it has been noted from authorities that deputies are working to identify the remains and determine a cause of death, and that this process takes several weeks for certainty, there is also hope that a new press release will help determine whether or not the missing person being investigated is related, or perhaps the same, as the evidence that was found in the form of human bones.

For now, for the people of Switzerland County and beyond, it is unsure whether they are related.

For now, anyone with information concerning this case is asked to contact the Switzerland County Sheriff’s Office at (812) 427-3636 or the Indiana State Police at (812) 689-5000.
