Indiana State Police Needed Help Identifying Scam Artist

Tuesday April 5th, 2016 :: 08:01 a.m. EDT Indiana State Police issued a statement on the individual pictured. You are encourage to share theses images on social media to help the State Police identify the suspect.

Everyone in the Kentuckiana area should be aware and vigilant for this individual.

Washington County- On 03-12-2016 at approximately 11:30 am, an unknown white male went into LaJene's Jewelers in Salem, IN, pretending to be looking for a ring.

After looking over the inventory of the store he decided to buy a "White Gold Engagement Ring". He bought the ring by using a fake Kentucky Driver’s License and a fraudulent bank check.

The white male deceivingly identified himself with the fake Kentucky Driver’s License as Dylan Craig. He also gave a false phone number and stated that he just recently purchased land in Washington County.

Anyone knowing the identity of the man pictured with this release is encouraged to contact the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg at 1-812-246-5424 or inside Indiana at 1-800-872-6743.
