Help Create or Bid on Art Furniture While Helping Local Children in Need

February 6, 2018

A chance to help children in need, in your community, as well as collecting some completely original artwork is coming up with an event called Make Art With The Peaces.

One can either help make the art, bid on the art, or even both.

MAKE THE ART

Below are the February times for the furniture painting classes that have been announced:

Feb. 7th 5 p.m. – 9 p.m., Feb. 10th 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Feb. 12th 5 p.m. – 9 p.m., Feb. 19th 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Feb. 24th 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

To sign up for a class, call 812-820-4218 and ask for Wesley, or stop by his shop, Muddy Fork Antiques, at 310 E. Main St., Madison, IN 47250.

This can act as a family activity, girls get-together, or a multitude of other possibilities.

Painters can either bring in a piece that bought at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Salvation Army, or Goodwill, OR bring in a piece from home that was going to be gotten rid of anyway.

The class is free, the paints are free and the piece is donated to the Make Art with the Pieces Auction happening on March 10.

BID ON THE ART

Join Voices for Children at the West Street Art Center to bid on Handpainted masterpieces of all shapes, sizes and styles painted by local artist, business professionals and ‘celebrities’.

It’s on March 10th, 2018 and is from 5PM to 7PM.

Admission is $10 a person and there will be cocktails, appetizers and, of course, art.

All money helps to benefit the children of Jefferson and Ripley Counties.

All profits from the Make Art with the Pieces Auction will benefit Southeastern Indiana Voices for Children, your local non-profit advocates for neglected and abused children in Jefferson and Ripley Counties.
