The Following are Food Inspection Reports from the Jefferson County Health Department where Violations Were Found from August 5th through August 17th, 2019.

CIRCLE K – 139 W LAGRANGE RD

Inspected 8/5/2019

2 Non-Critical Violations:

– Ice cream machine in need of cleaning.

-Container where straws are stored
needs cleaned.

1 Repeat Violation:
-Floor of walk in cooler and fleezer needs cleaned. After use mop stored in mop sink. Must be hung to air dry.

1 Critical Violation:

-COMPLAINT A WRITTEN COMPLAINT WAS SUBMITTED FROM A FORMER
EMPLOYEE STATING THAT THE FRONT COUNTERS HAD BEEN TAKEN
OVER BY PEST, UPON MY INSPECTION I WAS ABLE TO PIN POINT THE
SPECIFIC PROBLEM. THE ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED UNTIL THE PREMISES IS PEST FREE. THE PRESENCE OF PEST ARE WITHIN THE ESTABLISHMENT.

1 Non-Critical Violation:

-THE SIDE EXTERIOR DOOR WAS OPEN UPON ARRIVAL. DOORS MUST
BE KEPT CLOSED UNLESS THE ESTABLISHMENT IS RECEIVING A
DELIVERY.

Inspected 8/9/2019

COMPLAINT THE HEALTH DEPT WAS INFORMED THROUGH AN ANONYMOUS TIP
THAT THE COFFEE SHOP WAS STILL OPERATING AFTER YESTERDAY’S
CLOSURE. AFTER ANOTHER INSPECTION] FOUND THAT THE PEST
WERE STILL PRESENT IN THE ESTABLISHMENT. IMMEDIATE CLOSURE
IS REQUIRED AND ESTABLISHMENT CAN NOT REOPEN UNTIL A WALK
THROUGH CONCLUDES THAT THE PREMISES IS PEST FREE.

FOLLOW-UP:

-ESTABLISHMENT IS GOOD TO REOPEN PRESENCE OF PEST HAS BEEN
ELIMINATED.

-SEVERAL DIFFERENT CUT MEATS WERE FOUND IN THE “COLD
DRINKS” COOLER PAST THEIR 7 DAY MARK. (HAM AND CHEESE LOAF
PACKED ON AUG 2; TURKEY PASRAMI PACKED ON AUG 7)

-THE THAWING OF CHICKEN IN THE TUB OF WATER IS IMPROPER.
MEAT PRODUCT SHOULD HAVE RUNNING WATER LESS THAN 70
DEGREES; OVER IT OR PUT INTO A COOLER T0 THAW.

-THE HAND SINK HAS A CONSTANT LEAK FROM THE FAUCET THAT
NEEDS REPAIRED

– THE COVE MOLDING IN THE BATHROOM HAS FALLEN OFF AND NEEDS
TO BE REPAIRED.

– AFTER MOPS ARE USED THEY NEED TO BE HUNG IN ORDER TO AIR

DRY. (MOP FOUND IN BUCKET IN RESTROOM.
