According to Visit Madison, the website Visit Indiana is featuring three businesses in Madison, Indiana for their seasonal poll as being the ‘Best of Indiana’.
This year, Hoosiers can cast votes for 3 Autumnal categories and Madison has entries in all three of them: Indiana’s Best Tenderloins, Best Fall Festivals and Best Historic Destinations.
Voting is now open to the public at VisitIndianaFall.com and closes on October 27.
The winners will be announced November 1st.
The first Madison contestant is the Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art, which takes place September 30th and October 1st of this year.
The category it is in and up against 30 other contestants is Best Fall Festival.
The second contestant is The Lanier Mansion, who is challenging 29 other locations in the category titled Best Indiana Historic Destination.
This 1844 Greek Revival home of James F.D. Lanier and was designed by Architect Francis Costigan.
The final category featuring Madison this fall is Best Tenderloin.
A tenderloin sanwich, or a piece of pork, pounded and breaded (and usually fried), can be crispy, flat, thick and/or juicy, and stick out from underneath the bun.
Madison’s Shooter’s, which is a restaurant and family-friendly sports bar, is located in the former location of the historic Roger’s Corner, which closed it’s doors in 2010.
